ছিয়াত্তরের মন্বন্তর বাংলার ইতিহাসে সর্বাপেক্ষা ভয়াবহ দুর্ভিক্ষ নামে পরিচিত। ১১৭৬ বঙ্গাব্দে ( খ্রি. ১৭৭০) এই দুর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছিল বলে একে 'ছিয়াত্তরের মন্বন্তর' বলা হয়।
